The Papua New Guinea Boxing Union (PNGBU) is the national governing body responsible for the administration, promotion, and development of amateur boxing throughout Papua New Guinea. It operates under the recognition of the Papua New Guinea Sports Foundation and the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC), and is affiliated with the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the Oceania Boxing Confederation (OCBC). The Union’s main objective is to nurture grassroots boxing talent, develop coaches and referees, and prepare elite athletes to represent the country at international competitions such as the Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games, and the Olympic Games.
